We are currently recruiting for an exceptional, fun-loving part-time bookkeeper who wants to join our awesome team of accountants and bookkeepers.

The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the effective delivery of basic bookkeeping services for a range of clients.

Reporting to a team of accountants, your responsibilities will include:

The bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients; including:

  • Coding of bank transactions and performing monthly/quarterly bank reconciliations
  • Coding purchase invoices and processing payments as required
  • Payroll
  • Fixed asset register maintenance
  • Correctly coding transactions for GST
  • Supporting the Tax & Accounting team,
  • Proactively liaising with clients on a regular basis,
  • Assisting the team & clients with adhoc tasks

  • Have or be studying towards a Cert IV in Bookkeeping (or similar)
  • Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices

  • The ability to work independently, taking responsibility for tasks given, showing initiative and making informed and considered decisions
  • The ability to work in a team, assisting other consultants as and when required
  • Strong administrative skills
  • The ability to pick up new software and concepts quickly
  • Experience with Xero accounting software is preferred
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word
  • Driven by delivering results and solutions, being innovative and lateral thinking to ensure our clients receive the best possible service and advice
  • Professional, ethical and show integrity at all times, both with clients and team members

To be successful in this role you will have previous Australian bookkeeping experience (2+ years) to an intermediate level, preferably within another bookkeeping firm.

Permanent Part-time – initially 3 days per week (22.5 hours) – possibility to 4 days and possibly full-time.

Some regular travel to clients may be required. This is not a remote job, and we would require the successful candidate to be present in our office in Brookvale on Sydney Northern Beaches as required.
