{"id":11732,"date":"2023-05-16T17:25:41","date_gmt":"2023-05-16T07:25:41","guid":{"rendered":"https:\/\/mukiwa.com.au\/?page_id=11732"},"modified":"2023-05-17T12:38:08","modified_gmt":"2023-05-17T02:38:08","slug":"intermediate-bookkeeper","status":"publish","type":"page","link":"https:\/\/mukiwa.com.au\/careers\/intermediate-bookkeeper\/","title":{"rendered":"Intermediate Bookkeeper"},"content":{"rendered":"<p>We are currently recruiting for an exceptional, fun-loving part-time bookkeeper who wants to join our awesome team of accountants and bookkeepers.<\/p>\n<p>The primary purpose of this position is to ensure the effective delivery of basic bookkeeping services for a range of clients.<\/p>\n<p><strong>Reporting to a team of accountants, your responsibilities will include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<p>The bookkeeping duties for a portfolio of clients; including:<\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Coding of bank transactions and performing monthly\/quarterly bank reconciliations<\/li>\n<li>Coding purchase invoices and processing payments as required<\/li>\n<li>Payroll<\/li>\n<li>Fixed asset register maintenance<\/li>\n<li>Correctly coding transactions for GST<\/li>\n<li>Supporting the Tax &amp; Accounting team,<\/li>\n<li>Proactively liaising with clients on a regular basis,<\/li>\n<li>Assisting the team &amp; clients with adhoc tasks<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p><strong>Personal attributes would include:<\/strong><\/p>\n<ul>\n<li>Adhering to Mukiwa values, particularly around service delivery to our clients<\/li>\n<li>Highly efficient, with strong attention to detail<\/li>\n<li>Good time management skills<\/li>\n<li>Have or be studying towards a Cert IV in Bookkeeping (or similar)<\/li>\n<li>Good understanding of accounting and financial reporting principles and practices<\/li>\n<li>The ability to prioritise and juggle tasks\/roles<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work independently, taking responsibility for tasks given, showing initiative and making informed and considered decisions<\/li>\n<li>The ability to work in a team, assisting other consultants as and when required<\/li>\n<li>Strong administrative skills<\/li>\n<li>The ability to pick up new software and concepts quickly<\/li>\n<li>Experience with Xero accounting software is preferred<\/li>\n<li>Excellent verbal and written communication skills<\/li>\n<li>A good working knowledge of Microsoft Office products, particularly Outlook, Excel and Word<\/li>\n<li>Driven by delivering results and solutions, being innovative and lateral thinking to ensure our clients receive the best possible service and advice<\/li>\n<li>Professional, ethical and show integrity at all times, both with clients and team members<\/li>\n<li>Promote Mukiwa and what the business stands for at every opportunity<\/li>\n<\/ul>\n<p>To be successful in this role you will have previous Australian bookkeeping experience (2+ years) to an intermediate level, preferably within another bookkeeping firm.<\/p>\n<p>Permanent Part-time &#8211; initially 3 days per week (22.5 hours) &#8211; possibility to 4 days and possibly full-time.<\/p>\n<p>Some regular travel to clients may be required.
